Kansas as much as it being a place of education, it was obviously more than that. Whenever I reflect on Wichita, I reflect on God.
I love the peaceful weather, the calm environment. Not too quiet till the point where it is completely barren , but to me a perfect combination. A ministry where little did I know that led me as the person I am today. Without the ministry in Wichita, I would have not been able to find my foundation to survive here in New York today.
Not by any means to undermine New York, but city culture lacks a certain fellowship that is so rare to be only found in smaller and quieter urban areas. I thank God I started out at Wichita, and find myself sustaining to New York.
Further on. New York is a place of testing for me. It is a place learning to identify myself into situations where I knew I would face when I was a child. Along with the common goal for most people, I came here to find opportunity, and what I find is a pursue of a higher ministry.
I do think back of Wichita now and then, a home where I know I can easily find refuge and comfort. I pray hard for those who would find themselves starting out in Wichita, that they may be strengthen by values of such fellowship and Godly encounters.
