Come on over, Sandy
Monday morning/afternoon, and the city has been shut down for the anticipation of Hurricane Sandy. I have my window blinds covered in my room and all the light there is are from the lamps. But outside I can hear the almost squealing sound of the wind blowing against my window and with one cracked window that is unable to close in the apartment, the doors kept banging each time the wind blows.
I remembered the last time when the warning was given for Irene, and all of us were prepping to brace its arrival but nothing happened, at least nothing serious in Queens. Is New York City taking high precautions on every storm that could potentially do damage by encouraging evacuation? They said that this time around will be one of the worst but some people are taking it lightly due to the cry of wolf last year.
I don't know why but I am hoping for something big, not because its exciting and exhilarating but because I want to see how New Yorkers talk about it when it is all over... and most of all, how God is involved in their conversations.
