The Legend

There are certain things in life that shapes the way you think, the way you behave, the way you believe. My journey with God was so very influenced by DC Talk from the age of 14. I remembered how submerged I got into DC Talk, where I would take over an hour of uninterrupted personal time and meditated on the lyrics and the music that DC Talk is preaching about.

There wasn't any MP3 during those times and all I had was my cassette player and I would lie down on the floor faced down with the player right in front of my face, close my eyes and listen. It was almost being lost into another world, letting DC Talk tell their story of God.

My life was brought up by music that way and I still do find myself moved by music, adding to it are the words of God through clever lyrics. I guess that is why I take particular emphasis about finding ways to tell stories about God, I want to get your attention; the very attention that DC Talk got from me. Today even when they are all doing their own thing, but their memories will remain as they are being called to pursue their individual endeavors.
