I have a different sense of respect today as I did over a year ago. As I ponder over discerning wisdom and who to seek wisdom from as far as God being the main source is concern.
I find that my respect does not exactly goes to people that posses wisdom or to the one that always seems to know the way but of someone that identifies himself/herself with God.
Few months back I was reading a book from Davind Benner talking about knowing ourselves in light of God. There is goodness in seeking after wisdom as Proverbs ushers us to do so but there is a different level of understanding when it comes to someone who not necessarily one that only seeks wisdom but one that seeks after an identity with God.
It is somehow deemed more important for me now to find myself respecting someone who can identify themselves with God more than just a pursuit after wisdom alone.
