Exegesis vs. Eisegesis

Poor biblical interpretation is one of the biggest enemy of the church...

There is always the Spirit that we should never undermine, but there is calling to study scripture carefully that teaches us more of what God is actually trying to tell us. We are faced with so much controversies and confusion in society that are casting doubts about scripture, and the people who are making it worst are Christians that are deliberately teaching the bible wrongly.

Even as I am consciously aware of my opportunity to be able to attend seminary, it really makes me realized that what I learn here is basically what every believer should be learning. Yet the world has made it to be in the way that people are paying preachers to be doing the work that everyone ought to be doing themselves. We are all called to draw from scripture and from scripture we are to read it diligently and carefully.

We should stop reading into scripture and start read out of scripture. What it simply means is that we should not be reading into scripture what we want to know but to read out of scripture what God wants us to know. We do not read with our agenda but we read with being open to whatever God wants to say, regardless whether we like it or not.
