There is only Him

We are often distracted by the world around us, we are constantly bombarded by the forces of the world and those that would come to oppose us. This is so very true to the point that many of us have the perspective that we are facing the world as the challenge of our lives, like we wake up everyday to battle against the world.

But we often forget the reminders of how God is more control than we think. Exodus 9:12 says:

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said to Moses.

Moses was facing Pharaoh as if it is between him and Pharaoh alone, just we would often think that we are facing an unbelieving world. But verse 12 says that it is God that was the one who hardened Pharaoh's heart, simply to prove to Moses that it would happen. This stood out to me as a huge reminder that God has the power to control even our enemies for the sake of His sovereignty, that when I start to look at the world today, it is not about me facing this difficult world, but its about me living this life with God.

God is capable to make smooth my journey and make people to be loving around me, but he is also capable to make it harder on us and chose to let it happen to us for His sovereign reasons.

We need to be reminded that we are not living this life as one that is going against the world but we live this is life where is all about whats between us and God. Which is ever such important wisdom to fear God more than man.

And God is on our side, for if He is for us, who can be against us?
