More to Life than These

What more are you looking for in the world?

Upon reflecting on some of the events that has happened in the past week I begin to think hard about my perspectives and how are they changing from time to time. As I was thinking through about how much more that I do not know about what is out there and how vast is the creation of God that I have yet to see for myself, I feel so small and insignificant that there is so much to life to offer me.

But despite knowing about the vastness of the world... or even the universe, I was struck with another reminder that tells me how God holds everything in the palm of His hand and having to commune with such a God actually makes the universe a lot smaller in comparison. Where most of the spies saw giants that are intimidating, Joshua and Caleb saw only but the insignificance in comparison with God. I reflected on the past 2 months of how I may fear that I will be losing out on so much out there but yet the only important thing in life has always been with me and that in comparison to the vastness of the universe, God has shrunk the world figuratively speaking.

Knowing God has made my world less mysterious because knowing the one that created the universe has brought about a sense of what is important and urgent. Which essentially turns a lot of my curiosity into a satisfaction. Although my heart still yearns for a few things in this life, I believe that He will satisfy those things in His own unique ways.

So what is out there is growing smaller and smaller for me because the filter of time reveals how God is essentially the only thing we strive to experience.
