I have been hearing good reviews of the movie and today I finally get to watch it.
Such is the battle of humans and the apes, where there are confusion and miss-communications that lead to unnecessary blunder. Even as peace is effort-ed by both sides, war still comes between there 2 races. Both sides have their contempt for the other and found the other sides to be of blame. But the words of Caesar at on point telling to his son that apes are no different than humans. As Caesar saw how humans tend to destroy each other, he has come to realized how even the war was started not by the opposition, but from within. It was an ape that betrayed his own kind for self power.
Genesis 3 speaks of the fall of man and the very incident of the eating the fruit form the forbidden tree. Even as the lie that was told to Eve that from the fruit comes wisdom to know good and evil, Eve's drawn towards a future of self preservation and wisdom... the reliance on self to know what to do instead of depending on God.
The apes in the movie were test subjects of an Alzheimer's cure but ended up boosting their cerebral capacity to increase intelligence. They were then ceasing to be subjected by humans and to seek self reliance, just as Eve did.
Even as the apes did not asked to be tested, the results of self reliance through wisdom were similarly resembling that of the human race. Even if man were to be evolved from apes, or some organism millions of years ago, the problem of sin is yet to be explained. The disease of sin from wanting self reliance from God is not dealt with, none but God in His words alone reveals the remedy for sin.
Create a new army of humans, apes, artificial intelligence, or whatever else that the world will come up with in the future, only Jesus can save us all from the consequences of sin.
