Time is flying faster than I anticipated. Having to celebrate 1 decade of the American experience a year ago, I am now pushing for a dozen years. Not so much of the numbers I am pointing out but the significance of the experience that comes with time.
Not being a nomadic person by choice, I rely on the immediate existence to draw life from and to go as deep as I can into the things and people around me. With limited experience of travel, I stand guard firm to where I am but at the same time pay close attention to things that are of the unfamiliar and foreign so that I am not blindsided by what is going on out there.
But I am also a big believer that God desires for us to pay attention to the things in our immediate proximity as our purpose and not to be overly desiring something distant unless there is a particular urgency that can be made known.
