The Same: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

My 1st night in Wichita is one that fills with excitement as I am making plans to meet with people I have not met for a long time. The hospitality that I experience here is really bringing me back to look at how God has molded for the 7 years that I was around, and the that experience is a good one; it is seeing the traces of God in all situations and to come out of it with the result of hanging to God so much tighter.

Today as I am preparing to my first meeting with my sponsored church, I have also told that I will be preaching tomorrow afternoon... which is always a blast to do so.

I am however finding myself to be a bit cautious about what I represent as I am here. I have experience not too little the perception that coming from a city like New York puts me to a different state of my experience and its not all about fun but about joy of seeing a difficult city hanging on to God however best they can.

There is a simplicity that is found in Wichita that I now associate with. With the little that there is compared to the bustling city, God irons out the things He needs to so that I could see clearer of who am I as a person that is not defined by where I am at, what I am doing but who I am with. This is so I will not be drawn away from the ever changing world that I live in but to be anchored by the never changing God that I am with.
