Trivial Moment

I was rather entertained by a trivial questionnaire that left me amused. I remembered doing this when I was still in high school and I am finding myself revisiting this activity that made me remember a few things of my life.

1. What are your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?
Tzesus, Grandfather/Godfather. No preference

2. What books on your shelf are begging to be read?
The God Ask by Steve Shadrach, Pathways To The King by Rob Reimer, The Search For Significance by Robert McGee

3. How often do you doodle? What do your doodles look like?
Rarely. Comic studies

4. What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep? Toss and Turn? Try to get up  and do something productive?
Write or watch a movie

5. How many days could you last in solitary confinement? How would you do it?
Two days maybe with a lot of thinking, writing, and praying

6. Do you save old greeting cards and letters? Throw them away?
Save them and put up on my wall

7. Who is the biggest pack rat you know?
Gary Moi… I hope he won’t see this

8. When making an entrance in to a party, do you make your presence known? Do you slip in and look for someone you know? Do you sneak in quietly and find a safe spot to roost?
I prefer not to make my presence known and look for someone I know and then find a safe spot to roost

9. What is your strongest sense? If you had to give one up, which would it be?
Taste. It is hard giving up any one of my senses, they are too important to me

10. How many times a day do you look at yourself in the mirror?
Maybe 10 to 15 times

11. What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?
Prices on an item is valued only at their size but not its quality

12. What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?
Ice cream at all hours

13. Who performs the most random acts of kindness out of everyone you know? 
Jon Jeng

14. How often do you read the newspaper? Which paper? Which sections?
Never, only online news.

15. Which animals scare you most? Why?
Shark. Probably the only viscous animal to me that strikes relentless shiver when it attacks.

16. Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?
Avoid at every opportunity

17. What was the most recent compliment you’ve received and savored?
Described as King of trails

18. What is something about yourself that you hope will change, but probably never will?
Letting myself get hurt easily

19. Are you a creature of habit? Explain.
In many ways, yes. I develop habits in things that I have come to find effective like cleaning immediately after using something in the kitchen.

20. Are you high maintenance? Explain.
Absolutely not

21. When was the last time you really pushed yourself to your physical limits?
Running an extra half a mile couple of months ago

22. Do you have a whole lot of acquaintances or just a few very close friends? Why?
At the moment, seems like I have more acquaintances kind of situation.

23. Are you more inclined to “build your own empire” or unleash the potential of others?
I build myself to unleash others, and I cannot unleash others if I am not building my own

24. What’s a strange occurrence you’ve experienced but have never (or rarely) shared with anyone?
Something that happened when I was a young teen that is too personal to share here

25. What do you think about more than anything else?
Am I pleasing God in my faith?

26. What’s something that amazes you?
Seeing hardened hearts change

27. Do you prefer that people shoot straight with you or temper their words? Why?
Mostly being straight. I prefer to take criticism head on

Curry Leaves

29. What’s one thing you’d rather pay someone to do than do yourself? Why?
Fixing computers???

Here’s the thing…

31. What’s your reaction towards people who are outspoken about their beliefs? What conditions cause you to dislike or, conversely, enjoy talking with them?
There is a place and time to talk about beliefs and in a very tactful manner that does not come across overbearing but being unapologetic.

32. How and where do you prefer to study?
Away from my room

33. What position do you sleep in?
Sideways mostly

34. What’s your all-time favorite town or city? Why?
New York City at the moment

35. What are the top three qualities that draw you to someone new?
Transparency, openness and sensibility

36. How has your birth order/characteristics of siblings affected you?
Middle child has given me a sense of balance between my 2 sibling’s experiences

37. If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?
Giving into my emotions

38. If you could restore one broken relationship, which would it be?
The one that I walked out on and then gave cold treatment to many years back, reason is not because I want back the relationship but to apologize for my un Christian-like behavior.

39. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
Scott

40. Do you believe ignorance is bliss? Why or why not?
No. truth brings real freedom

41. What do you consider unforgivable?
Humanly speaking… seeing people I love getting hurt. Spirit perspective, nothing

42. Have you forgiven yourself for past personal failures? Why or why not?
Not all of them. I am not too sure

43. How difficult is it for you to forgive someone who refuses to apologize?
Easier through time

44.Do you hold any convictions that you would be willing to die for?
Absolutely

45. To what extent do you trust people? Explain.
To those who understand that trust comes with vulnerability. People who cannot show vulnerability, cannot understand the value of exchanging personal confidence.

46. In what area of your life are you immature?
Jealousy reactions

47. What was the best news you ever received?
The pardoning of my ugliness

48. How difficult is it for you to be honest, even when your words may be hurtful or unpopular?
Depending on the person

49. When did you immediately click with someone you just met? Why? What was the long term result? Conversely, are you close with anyone now that you really disliked at first?
11 years ago, one of the most significant close friend that where just utterly displaying love. I have plenty of people I am close with that I used to dislike at first.

50. When do you find yourself singing?
When I have the guitar in my hands and knowing that I cannot express my heart any better unless words are heard.
