As Christians, we live in freedom from this world as we are tethered to Christ and all that He has done, so we live in much abandonment where we look forward to new life that is about to come. But even in such freedom, there are bounds to which we are held back by. Such holding is one that we should find ourselves learning to content with, knowing that it is all temporary.
Whether it is temptation, anger, worldly protocols and such that bombards our very lives, we strive very intently to fight against them for a greater good. We face difficulties and unfairness all day long simply because we refuse to give in to sin. But even when there are days that we do fall into sin, we ought to quickly bring ourselves to a place of repentance. Not so much because we need our sins to be forgiven, because our sins are already forgiven on the cross, but it is so much more of our conscience as we continue our remaining days here on earth.
Essentially, we do all we do, endure, suffer, discipline and all that because we want to keep ourselves from falling away in a lost of lies and deception. Because we are creatures that can believe in lies so strongly to the point of living them out.
This world is becoming more and more weary and scary lately. I am seeing and identifying sins that are ever more prevalent, disguising as norms to one day mellowing out its severity. I pray that I do not fall away from God, but even if I do, I hope that He will bring me back from false freedom.
