Change The Pace

Having much time to myself and explore a little more with my thoughts, I notice how much time can affect self reflection. Not just in myself but also with others who have significant amount of time in their hands, their self reflection is layered with richer perspectives.

The danger of living in New York City is being winded up to the very second of the day and not being able to open up to possibilities. The options to how we choose to spend our time is then limited and thus resulting in very narrowed array of reflection.

God's command to be still is one that asks us to filter everything apart and sense Him in the most minute and mundane. As I lay on my bed doing nothing for the pass 3 hours, I let every single task that I have prepared to do to be slipped away. What if there was no urgency? What if there was no rush? What if there is nothing that demands our attention? All but only God and God alone that is left, and we face the very truth of who we are and what have we been doing with all our lives, because it is how we nurture our spiritual life that will determine how we perceive God and being alone with God is a test to know how our relationship with Him is actually like.
