Brunch & Blue Skies

I slept in a little this morning and decided to go take a short walk. Half way through my walk, I decided that I am just going to get something to eat and walked to my usual diner for brunch.

After brunch, I felt more energized and felt much more awake and motivated and planning in my head what I am going to do for the day. But as I got out of the diner and headed back home, I felt the need to slow down. I have never seen the sky this blue in such a long time. Maybe its because of the glaring sun that I do not usually look up but today's sky was so clear and blue, and the green of each leaves on the trees along the streets pop amidst the blue sky.

For a moment this whole feeling left my heart calmed and all I could think to do is worship. Then Romans 1 came to mind as I stroll through the streets. It is one of those moments when I want to worship God for who He is and nothing about my circumstances. These are precious moments, because it takes me out of my concerns and I experience God for being God. Such is the story line for Job trying to figure out what is God trying to do with his life and there God is just proving that He can and wants to do anything and He is ultimately glorified.
