Alaska

I have a newfound fascination with Alaska. Ever since watching ‘The Proposal’ the second time around, it has really gotten to me. Even before that, I have been thinking a lot about where I would like to retire. Somehow, I had a mental picture of what the environment will be like, somewhere mountainous, close by the waters, cooler weathers, quieter place, and when I saw The Proposal, I was hooked on looking into Alaska.

I know that I have been struggling with a lot of the future and wonder where will be at, who does not. The city can be a fascinating place but somehow a quieter town seems to have captured my attention for the last few years or so. I would bank on the reason that quieter and less-entertainment town/city has an advantage for closer knit and intimate community, which is something the city, really needs to pay more attention to.

More to that, quieter and smaller towns present fewer risk of crimes and temptations, the dependency on human socialization is higher, and the dependency on technology for time-passing is lower. More so for a personal reason is that, the 'nature' environment posts as a accessible serene avenue for spiritual reflection.

Hearing about opportunities to go to Alaska excites me. So anyone out there hears of anything, let me know.
