Fun vs. Foundation
I must say that I have been a sucker for these quotes, but I need to always be aware of the validity of it comparing to scripture.
This reflects to me on the perspectives about looking for a right partner where being happy hanging out with someone is not hard to do, as people will learn to adapt to new things that produces amusement. In other words, it is not hard to have fun with people but fun is something that is very seasonal and temporary. To which it requires constant pursuit for fun to keep up with the level of amusement that one desires and no two person can grow in fun on the same pace and the same trajectory. However, what is essential is what is permanent and what is permanent is something that you know will maintain its support through all seasons and circumstances.
The acknowledgement that we are in need for grow growth is important, because this world that we live in gets harder each day as we draw closer to God and to walk in His will. Finding someone whom we can build with in the manner of life's foundation is more essential than to find someone to only have fun with.
Happiness changes in its achievement as maturity progresses. But foundations do not as foundations are what we build upon for the security of life and not just recreation.
