I recently got to know a little better about how New York City looked into dating and the whole ideal of what falling in love is about...
What I surveyed seemed rather peculiarly in terms of how people are seeking for love. Everyone seems to be so big upon looking for someone that is adventurous, someone to explore the city with, someone who loves to travel, someone who loves trying new restaurants and bars, someone who can make them laugh... even though these are things that are not bad but it seemed rather shallow.
The city has so much to offer, even the culture of the city has cultivated a lifestyle that is constantly discovering what is thrown at them. So there is an endless supply of entertainments and fascination in the city on its own, left alone from the whole world.
The sense of adventure is something I admit to be an attractive value to have, because it signifies the broadening of experiences and knowledge; making the person more rounded by experiences that is satisfied by something new.
I posted a quote about how I desired intelligence when I was younger but now I desire kindness so much more... the very same way I see in others. I always tend to fall for people that quenches the thirst for my intellectual compatibility, those are which I find pleasure to challenge my perspectives, worldview and such but that only fed my mind and my overzealous thinking mind. Yet, my heart was not satisfied by genuine kindness, to which has no end to its effect.
I just watched a movie about the simplicity about love that comes from just the heart alone and not about being cultured, intelligence or experience... but just out of pure kindness of the heart... to which even in scripture talks more about in regards to love that way than anything of intellect.
So the words of wisdom of the aged when they advice their young about looking for someone kind is something that is often overlooked and underrated.
